MEN'S JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

Date: 1965

History: This trophy is played in conjunction with the Club Championship. It is awarded to the member who has the lowest scratch score over the four rounds and is below the age of 18.

Similarly, to the B and C Grade Club Championships, it is likely that the Junior Championships were held prior to 1965. Unfortunately, our records for these competitions start from 1965.

The Junior Championship trophy was first awarded in 2003 and was named in honour of a junior member, James “Jimmy” Ryan, who sadly passed away.

Rules:

Traditionally, played over four rounds, 72-holes. The winner is the player who has the lowest number of strokes over the four rounds.

The Club Championships are played from the blue plates at the back of each tee.
