Albert Staveley Shield -All Services Day


Date: 1946                                            

History: Named in honour of the Club’s first Captain Albert Staveley. Albert was captain from 1936 to 1939.  The high point of the golfing calendar at Palm Beach in the 1960s was All Services Day. This was held once a year and extended to late at night or even early morning. Over 200 golfers from clubs all over New South Wales took part.

Rules: This is an individual stableford event. The winner of this competition must have served in the Armed Services, including the Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Australian Navy, and the Australian Army.
