History: This trophy commenced in 1985 and has not been every year. 

Rules: This is an individual handicap match play event. The event is played over several months. One month allowed per round. Should the players not complete the match within this time then the both players forfeit the match. The lower marker per match goes to a scratch handicap; the other plays off the difference in their handicap to the lower marker. The shots are given as per the Match Play Index on the back of the scorecard.
